APRIL NEWS OF 2014:
RIFLE CREEK CENTER FOR HISTORICAL PRESERVATION
On April 1, 2014, the newly created organization above began operating. The previous evening, March 31, 2014, the board of directors of two organizations met and finalized an on-going consolidation effort. Now the Rifle Creek Museum and the Rifle Historical Society, Inc., are consolidated into one entity named Rifle Creek Center for Historical Preservation. The eleven directors of the board chose the following to be officers: Cecil Waldron–Chair, Judy Builteman–Vice Chair, Betty Waldron–Secretary, Jean Mullenax–Treasurer. The other directors are: Maryhannah Throm, Rich Carter, Kathy Runia, Shirley Lawson, Dick Rhoades, Betty Clifford, and Alan Lambert. The board will meet monthly. Then, at a special board meeting on April 10, 2014, two new board members were voted in: Ava Bowles and Kevin Runia.
This website was originally part of the Rifle Historical Society, Inc., then was reconstructed to serve the Rifle Creek Center for Historical Preservation.
